The cute cuddly, creature playfully leapt across the big roomy house. The lights were on, the creature was jumping about with a ball of yarn.
SUDDENLY ! ! !
The front door creaked open, an 11 year old girl stepped in, she had just got back from her friends house. Her name was Lilly. She came over to the creature and sat on the couch. Then she said “Hi Misty,’’. The creature jumped up on to her lap & softly started purring. Lilly had a great idea. She thought Misty might get a little bored while she was at school. and she wanted another friend for Misty. She decided she would go to the pet shop to get a 2nd kitten after lunch.
In the pet shop window Lilly saw a beautiful kitten that looked exactly like Misty. It pulled a cute face at her, as if she should buy her. Lilly couldn’t resist her so she bought the kitten & took her home. Lilly named the kitten Shadow.
When they got home Misty & Shadow weren’t very sure of each other. They smelt each other. In a blink of an eye they both raced off & started playing, Lilly thought they were so cute when they were playing with each other. She thought they would get along very well. Lilly got 2 food bowls & fed the kittens. They both raced over & gobbled it up. They both started purring after they ate their food.
A FEW WEEKS LATER ! ! !
The kittens were allowed outside. They slowly ran next to each other as they explored the garden. Misty left Shadow’s side to frolic. Shadow found a butterfly, she started chasing it and ran right past Misty. Then Shadow caught the butterfly, but she let it go so it could fly away. Lilly put collars on the kittens so they couldn’t catch birds, but they kept catching birds. Shadow somehow found a way to stop the bells from ringing. Shadow taught Misty how to do it.
A MONTH LATER ! ! !
It was Lilly’s birthday, her mum & dad gave her $50 to spend & $50 for her bank account. Now she had $782 in her bank account. Lilly spent $10 on cat toys & food, with 37c she bought a wiz fizz.
Lilly had $40 left, she had a think of what she needed but she couldn't think.because she had everything she needed.
SUDDENLY!!!
She wanted a book!
She used $20 on a book called ( A STREET CAT NAMED BOB), each night she read a few pages. In about 2 months she finished the book. she loved it so much, with $11 she bought another cat book called (The Kittens Tale). She finished the book in about 1 month this time. She loved the books so much that she wrote her own story about Misty & Shadow. Her story was really good so she read the story over & over again each night.
